ΥΠΟ ΕΙΔΙΚΕΣ ΣΥΝΘΗΚΕΣ ΤΟ LANCASTER ARCHERY CLASSIC 2021

H Lancaster ανακοίνωσε, μέσω της σελίδας της στο facebook, την διεξαγωγή του Lancaster Archery Classic και για το 2021 και συγκεκριμένα από τις 21 έως τις 24 Ιανουαρίου.

Σύμφωνα με τους διοργανωτές, θα υπάρξουν ειδικά μέτρα προστασίας λόγω της πανδημίας ενισχύοντας την αποστασιοποίηση στους χώρους της διοργάνωσης και διευρύνοντας το χρονοδιάγραμμα των προκριμματικών. Θύμα των νέων συνθηκών, το τουρνουά νέων αλλά και το κολεγιακό τα οποία ενδέχεται να μετατραπούν σε “virtual online”.

Οι δηλώσεις συμμετοχής εκκινούν την 9η Νοεμβρίου 2020.

Η ανακοίνωση της Lancaster:

It’s OFFICIAL! The 2021 Lancaster Archery Classic in ON! To serve the archery community as we always have, we have decided upon careful consideration to forge ahead and do our best to host a safe version of the LAS Classic this year. It is scheduled for the customary Jan. 21-24, 2021, weekend at Spooky Nook Sports Complex.

Registration for the 2021 Lancaster Archery Classic will open on the evening of Monday, Nov. 9, 2020. Announcements with links will be posted on Lancaster Archery’s social media channels.

We will promote social distancing during the entire tournament by leaving an empty lane between archers. And to allow for more spacing, we will add one more qualification time on Thursday afternoon. Heartbreakingly, we will NOT be able to host an additional 540 kids for the Youth & Collegiate Tournament on Saturday afternoon. This move is being made to avoid crowding with spectators/families, and to allow enough time for the LAS Classic elimination rounds. Plans are to hold a separate, Virtual/Remote Youth Event later in the winter/indoor season. Stay tuned after the Classic for information on that event.

Our Classic Elimination Shoot-Off Brackets on Saturday will also be social distanced and our plans are to still bring the famous LAS Classic Shoot-Up Finals to the world LIVE via Competition Archery Media’s Broadcast team on Saturday afternoon, 1/23 through mid-afternoon on Sunday 1/24.

Other major changes, deletions or revisions being planned;

Only two archers per target matt;

All seating spaced 6 feet apart;

Limited entry to the LAS Classic/Fieldhouse side of Spooky Nook where there will be temperature checks and wrist bands issued;

Mask and Hand Sanitizer with clip included in LAS SWAG Bags;

Mask wearing mandatory by all officials, staff, spectators and archers when not on the line shooting or eating/drinking;

Addition of Plexi-glass shields, barriers and social distancing floor markings;

Eliminate All Practice Ranges at Spooky Nook to avoid congestion, but increase to 3 ends of official practice before Qualification Rounds;

Eliminate Bow Check Area at Spooky Nook;

Eliminate Free Van Shuttles to LAS Pro Shop/Ranges;

Eliminate Door Prize Pickup Booth. All Door Prizes will be shipped after the event;

Eliminate Photo Booth, Pro Meet & Greet and T-Shirt/Hat sales booth in Atrium;

Sponsor/Vendor area will continue, but will include tables or Plexi in front of booths to promote distancing;

Registration Fees remain the same, but cash payouts are slightly reduced due to account for a reduced field

This is our current plan of action based on current regulations set by the state of Pennsylvania. If state or local regulations change, we could have to modify our plans to meet those requirements.

With half the number of archers competing at each shooting time, the density of people will be greatly reduced to provide the greatest safety possible for an indoor archery event. We look forward to hosting this year’s LAS Classic safely, giving archers, sponsors and spectators the opportunity to enjoy the event while keeping everyone’s safety as our priority.
